Auto GP - Nurburgring: Giovesi's grid penalty for race two is understood to have been incurred because of a technical infringement relating to a piece of tape on his car.

MotoGP - Indianapolis: Avintia's Hector Barbera just crashed halfway round a lap that might have put him top. He's unhurt.
MotoGP - Indianapolis: With Ben Spies out of action, the only prototype rider in this Q1 group is his Pramac team-mate Andrea Iannone.
With the CRTs' lack of power hurting on Indy's long straight, Iannone should easily be into Q2.
But who will join him? Usual CRT top dog Aleix Espargaro just needed his Moto2 star brother Pol's help to get his gloves on after his painful crash in final practice.
That could give the likes of Colin Edwards or Danilo Petrucci a chance.

Auto GP - Nurburgring: Auto GP has announced that second place finisher in today's opening Auto GP race Kevin Giovesi has been handed a two-place grid penalty for tomorrow's reversed-grid race.

DTM - Nurburgring: Interesting that, despite being 10th and 11th on the grid, Bruno Spengler and Mike Rockenfeller will use different tyres at the start of tomorrow's race.
Spengler, who is playing catch-up has gone for the softer options, which gives him a big advantage if it rains heavily enough to warrant a switch to wet rubber within the first half of the race.
If it rains before the start, however, tyre choice becomes redundant as everyone will fit wets and the mandate requiring both kinds of dry tyres to be used, will be removed.

Auto GP - Nurburgring: Former championship leader Sergio Campana has returned from his visit to the stewards.
Campana had been involved in a tough battle with new series points leader Kimiya Sato, and was disgruntled over a few incidents of light contact that took place during the race.
However, the stewards have reviewed video footage of the incidents and are taking no further action.
DTM - Nurburgring: Starting tyre choices are in. On soft option Hankooks at the start will be polesitter Farfus; Wittmann; Molina; Juncadella; Wickens; Ekstrom; Spengler; Rockenfeller; Glock; Tambay; Wehrlein; Tomczyk and Priaulx.
