Information from Goodyear, Biffle's right-rear tyre failure was because of a team mistake. A softer left-rear was fitted on the right-rear corner of Biffle's car.

Earnhardt has quietly made his way back into the top six.
The front seven cars are starting to form a single file now. Hamlin still leads from Kenseth and Truex.
After that hit with the wall Chris Buescher has been released from the infield medical centre.
Mears forced to stop because of a loose wheel. As expected he's now a lap down.
It's an unschedule stop for Casey Mears. Looks like he'll drop a lap as the front runners head across the start-finish line.

Matt DiBenedetto has been released from the infield care centre after that heavy hit with the wall that prompted the third caution.
Hamlin quickly takes to the inside line and leads from Kenseth and Kahne.

Hamlin takes the outside lane and we are back to green flag racing.
Approaching the halfway point of this 58th Daytona 500. 36 cars still on the lead lap, with 38 cars still running. We've had three cautions, 10 leaders and 12 lead changes so far.
Lap 96: Hamlin, Truex, Kyle Busch, Kenseth, Kurt Busch, Kahne, Menard, Blaney, Dillon and Johnson make up the top 10.

Waltrip pits which promotes Hamlin back into the race lead. Lap 95 and we are still under caution.
