Earnhardt has been given the all clear by the infield medical centre.
Still under caution after Earnhardt's crash. Kenseth leads from Truex, Kyle Busch, Vickers, Logano, Dillon, Hamlin, Edwards, Larson and Harvick.
Earnhardt had been running in the top five before spinning out.
Earnhardt was attempting to switch to the inside lane as he lost the car and spun into the wall.
34 laps to go: Kenseth leads from Truex, Kyle Busch, Vickers, Dillon, Logano, Hamlin, Edwards, Larson and Earnhardt.
The three front-running Toyotas all took two tyres at those stops, with Hamlin dropping to eighth as he took four new tyres.
Lots going on under those green flag pitstops. Matt Kenseth leads from .Truex and Kyle Busch with 37 laps to go.
Michael Waltrip in real trouble. He's been black-flagged for ignoring an earlier penalty.
That pass through penalty has dropped Johnson right down the order to 31st.
Scott and Mears are both penalised for speeding on pit road. Danica Patrick is hit with the same penalty as Jimmie Johnson as her crew were too early over the wall.
Michael Annett and Brian Scott lead as the rest of them front runners head to pit road.
Johnson is in trouble. He's been handed a pass-through penalty because his crew were over the wall too quickly during his stop.
Hamlin, Kurt Busch and Truex in. Keselowski stays out and takes the lead.
The leaders are in for the first round of green flag stops in this race.
Bit of clarification, Hamlin has off course won at Daytona before. He won last week's Sprint Unlimited race. But he's never won the big prize, the 500 itself.
Last year's Daytona 500 winner is still running fifth, but he's noticeably sawing at the wheel as he exits Turn 4.
Logano, who took right side tyres only at his last stop, is complaining of vibrations in the #22 Penske.

Hamlin still controls this race. He takes his tally to 82 laps led. He has never won at Daytona.
Logano cuts in and takes fifth on the inside lane as the front six cars start to pull clear.
Johnson, running low, has a moment on that last lap but the six-time Cup champion hangs on. He's currently in 11th.
Logano still running strongly on the outside lane. He's sixth, leading the high line.
Mears reports that something hit his windscreen. Replays show a piece of debris coming free from under Kenneth's #20 car.
65 laps to go in the 500. Hamlin leads Truex, Kyle Busch, Larson, Kurt Busch, Logano, Dillon, Kahne, Johnson and Earnhardt.
