Lap 13: Earnhardt leads from Hamlin and Logano.
Truex another one of those drivers who started at the rear who have made strong early progress. He's in 16th.
Kenseth started at the rear and is up to 14th already. He was set to start alongside Elliott on the front row, but was forced to his back-up car.
Earnhardt still leads, but it's Hamlin in second now.
Keselowski making good early progress. He's 10th after starting 25th.
Earnhardt takes the lead as the field completes lap three. Logano takes the inside line and takes second. Elliott down to third.
Elliott completes lap one in the lead. Earnhardt is up to second, followed by Logano.

The pace car peels off and we are go at Daytona.

Cars that must start from the rear are doing so now. Matt Kenseth, Brian Scott, AJ Allmendinger, Jimmie Johnson and Martin Truex Jr all forced to start from the back.
Cars are rolling on the pace lap. Elliott will start from the inside line, Kenseth on the outside.

That's right, WWE legend John Cena will start today's 58th running of the 500. Only in NASCAR.
With 200 laps and 500 miles to cover, don't rule out Matt Kenseth, Brian Scott, AJ Allmendinger, Jimmie Johnson and Martin Truex Jr, who all start from the rear of the field after switching to back-up cars.
NASCAR's new charter rules determined 36 of the 40 spots on today's 500 grid, leaving four free spots for those drivers in non-chartered cars.

Ryan Blaney, Matt DiBenedetto, Michael McDowell and Robert Richardson claimed those hard-earned spots.
Earnhardt will be looking for his third Daytona win today. He took victory in 2004 and 2014.
Dale Earnhardt Jr and 2015 Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch will share the second row after winning their respective Duel races on Thursday.

Earnhardt has established himself as the early favourite for today's race, after running strongly all week.
Matt Kenseth was set to start alongside Elliott but a late crash in the second of Thursday's Duel qualifying races forced him to his back-up car and he will start from the back of the pack.
Sprint Cup rookie Chase Elliott will start from pole. The 20-year-old is the youngster 500 polesitter in NASCAR history.
The pre-race build-up is already in full swing, with the typical driver introductions well under way.
