IndyCar - Milwaukee: The IndyCar Series is currently in the middle of a stretch of seven events in eight weekends (two of which are double headers), which is sure to have a big impact on the destiny of the title.

Earlier this week, reigning champion Ryan Hunter-Reay said it was hard to pick any favourites in the 2013 field from what we have seen so far this year.

The next track action on Race Centre Live comes from the famous Milwaukee Mile, where IndyCar practice will kick off at 15:45 BST (14:45 GMT).
MotoGP - Barcelona: So, was that one-two for Rossi and Lorenzo an ominous sign for the rest of the weekend at Barcelona?

Free practice two report
MotoGP - Barcelona: Lorenzo goes fastest of all through the first sector as the flag comes out, but the lap is ruined by traffic and he tours back to the pits.

Result: 1 Rossi; 2 Lorenzo; 3 Pedrosa; 4 Bautista; 5 Crutchlow; 6 Marquez; 7 Hayden; 8 Dovizioso; 9 Bradl; 10 Espargaro.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Dovizioso takes to the Turn 1 asphalt run-off, having got the bike out of shape on the bumps under braking. He responds with a personal best through the same sector on the following lap.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Rossi - with a soft rear tyre - goes fastest with a 1m42.297s.
MotoGP - Barcelona: With 5 minutes to go the order at the front is: 1 Lorenzo; 2 Pedrosa; 3 Bautista; 4 Marquez; 5 Crutchlow; 6 Hayden.
MotoGP - Barcelona: After an animated conversation at the back of his garage with his engineers, Lorenzo heads back out with less than 10 minutes to go.
MotoGP - Barcelona: As we enter the final 15 minutes, Dani Pedrosa goes second fastest. He's still 0.2s slower than Lorenzo, who is sitting (crash helmet on) in the pits watching.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Bradley Smith is hobbling away from his crashed bike. No sign yet of exactly what happened or which corner he has fallen at.
MotoGP - Barcelona: The track is busy again with just over 20 minutes to go. Recent improvements near the top include Bautista (2nd) and Rossi, who briefly went third just before that.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Aleix Espargaro has a small moment at Turn 4, running wide onto the grass but keeping the bike out of the gravel.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Bradl - whose bike has now returned to the paddock - is still sixth quickest following that crash. Ahead of him, the top five is as follows: 1 Lorenzo; 2 Dovizioso; 3 Pedrosa; 4 Rossi; 5 Crutchlow.
MotoGP - Barcelona: After that early flurry of activity there are only a handful of bikes out on track now. 15 minutes down, 30 still to go in this session. Bradl has just returned to the pits, where his team is readying his spare bike.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Stefan Bradl is the first to fall in this session. The German lost the front end on the entry to Turn 10 at the end of the backstraight. It's a pretty straightforward accident, and while Bradl is OK, his bike is not.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Lots of early changes as nearly the whole field hits the track early on. Morning pacesetter Lorenzo currently leads the way, improving every time he crosses the line on this first run.
MotoGP - Barcelona: The action is back underway at Barcelona, where the sun is shining.
MotoGP - Barcelona: So with the top three covered by just 0.070 seconds in first practice, this could be a very competitive MotoGP weekend in Spain.

Barcelona MotoGP practice one full report

Race Centre Live will take a pause now while the riders are in the garages, but will be back in action for MotoGP practice two at 12.05pm GMT/1.05pm BST.
MotoGP - Barcelona - practice one results: 1 Lorenzo; 2 Pedrosa; 3 Crutchlow; 4 Rossi; 5 Dovizioso; 6 Bautista; 7 Bradl; 8 Hayden; 9 Marquez; 10 Espargaro.
MotoGP - Barcelona: The chequered flag is out, looks like the last improvement will be Esparagaro jumping to 10th and demoting Iannone.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Alvaro Bautista crashes at Turn 1, sliding into the run-off with a low-side accident. He is unhurt.
IndyCar - Milwaukee: A bit of IndyCar news ahead of this weekend's Milwaukee race. It's Ana Beatriz's turn to get back in Dale Coyne Racing's second car, which she has shared with Pippa Mann and Mike Conway so far this year.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Pedrosa is following Lorenzo on track. The Yamaha team signals this to Lorenzo on the pitboard and he backs off to let his title rival past - rather than giving him a tow or a glimpse of any riding secrets.
Aleix Espargaro

Aleix Espargaro

MotoGP - Barcelona: Aleix Espargaro is, as usual, the quickest of the CRT bikes in 11th place.

At the press conference yesterday he declared that his aim is to get among the Ducati prototypes. He's right on the tail of Iannone's Pramac example right now.
MotoGP - Barcelona: The only incidents so far this morning have been several riders skating off the track and over the run-off at the Turn 10 hairpin.

Nicky Hayden is the latest to do so, following the trail laid by Dani Pedrosa, Aleix Espargaro and Andrea Iannone earlier on.

And now it's Lukas Pesek's turn, and the Ioda man is struggling to get the bike going again.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Marc Marquez is back in a quiet ninth at present.

This will be interesting weekend for Marquez, after his string of crashes at Mugello two weeks ago.

Here's AUTOSPORT MotoGP correspondent Toby Moody's thoughts on the weekend Marquez suddenly looked less than invincible:

Marquez comes down to earth
MotoGP - Barcelona: Pedrosa has improved to a 1m42.445s, which is just 0.023s behind Lorenzo.

Crutchlow also raises his pace and is now within 0.070s of the top spot.

That bodes very well for an extremely close race up front.
Tim Slade

V8 Supercars - Hidden Valley: Earlier today V8 Supercars held its Friday practice sessions ahead of this weekend's races at Darwin's Hidden Valley track.

Craig Lowndes, Scott Pye and Mark Winterbottom topped a session each, but the most eye-catching performance came from the Mercedes of Tim Slade, which was a breakthrough second fastest in final practice.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Jorge Lorenzo responds and does a 1m42.422s to knock Dani Pedrosa off first place.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Dani Pedrosa is on a mission this morning. He improves to a 1m42.445s, very close to the race lap record.
MotoGP - Barcelona: Michele Pirro is again on the second Pramac Ducati this weekend in place of Ben Spies, whose season continues to be plagued by the shoulder injury he suffered in late 2012.

The really interesting bit is that Pirro is actually racing the factory Ducati team's development 'lab bike' in Pramac colours as the team continues to push with its upgrade programme.

Factory readers Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden weren't hugely impressed with the lab bike when they recently tested it, though...
MotoGP - Barcelona: Cal Crutchlow has now put in his first quick lap and moved into second place.
Mugello MotoGP

Mugello MotoGP

MotoGP - Barcelona: Pedrosa still holds the championship lead after five rounds, but after a spell in which Honda seemed to be taking control, Lorenzo and Yamaha closed back in with a commanding performance at Mugello.

Championship positions after five of 19 rounds:

1 Dani Pedrosa 103
2 Jorge Lorenzo 91
3 Marc Marquez 77
4 Cal Crutchlow 71
5 Andrea Dovizioso 50
6 Valentino Rossi 47

(25 points for a win)
MotoGP - Barcelona: As the riders complete their first couple of flying laps, Dani Pedrosa leads on a 1m42.654s, 0.239 seconds ahead of Valentino Rossi.

Alvaro Bautista, Jorge Lorenzo and Stefan Bradl complete the early top five.
MotoGP - Barcelona: The green light comes on and the first MotoGP session of the weekend commences. Riders are pouring out on track at a sunny Barcelona.
