European F3 - Spielberg - qualifying part one results:

Fastest times (race one grid): 1 Kvyat; 2 Rosenqvist; 3 Wolf; 4 Cheever; 5 King; 6 Latifi; 7 Auer; 8 Tincknell; 9 Muller; 10 Hill.

Second-fastest time (race three grid): 1 Kvyat; 2 Wolf; 3 Rosenqvist; 4 Latifi; 5 Hill; 6 Cheever; 7 Muller; 8 Tincknell; 9 King; 10 Lewis.

NASCAR - Dover - practice one results: 1 Jimmie Johnson; 2 Kasey Kahne; 3 Kyle Busch; 4 Kurt Busch; 5 Jamie McMurray; 6 Denny Hamlin; 7 Brad Keselowski; 8 Joey Logano; 9 Ryan Newman; 10 Jeff Gordon.
IndyCar - Detroit - practice results: 1 Tagliani; 2 Dixon; 3 Newgarden; 4 Power; 5 Hunter-Reay; 6 Conway; 7 Jakes; 8 Castroneves; 9 Pagenaud; 10 Sato.
Acropolis Rally: Ogier back under Rally 2 regs tomorrow. He'll be 10 minutes down with the penalties... maybe he can still win!
Acropolis Rally - SS1 result: 1 Novikov; 2 Sordo + 20.6s; 3 Latvala + 36.3s; 4 Neuville + 38.3s; 5 Mikkelsen + 54.4s.
Acropolis Rally: And the drama continues into WRC 2 with Robert Kubica stopping momentarily halfway through the stage.
Acropolis Rally: For the first time this year, the winner of a World Rally Championship round won't be called Sebastien.
Acropolis Rally: Evgeny Novikov leads Dani Sordo by 20.6 seconds after one stage. His M-Sport team-mate Ostberg drops more than three minutes when: "The wheel fell off." Ogier not moving due to technical problem.
Darrell Wallace Jr

Darrell Wallace Jr

NASCAR - Dover: A bit of history in the NASCAR Truck Series as 19-year-old rookie Darrell Wallace Jr, driving for Kyle Busch's team, takes his maiden pole.

Here's the full top 10: 1 Wallace; 2 Chase Elliott; 3 Jeb Burton; 4 Ryan Blaney; 5 Kyle Busch; 6 Ty Dillon; 7 Matt Crafton; 8 German Quiroga Jr; 9 Max Gresham; 10 Johnny Sauter.
Acropolis Rally: Steering problem for Hirvonen. Al-Attiyah hits the Finn in an effort to get past the stricken Citroen.
IndyCar - Detroit: Is this the sixth red flag? Culprit on this occasion is James Jakes, who has stopped on the track. With 16 minutes left, Will Power is currently P1.
Acropolis Rally: Both Volkswagens through SS1 have reported handbrake problems despite the team being confident they had fixed the issue on the Polo R WRC. Ogier and Hirvonen moving again, but slowly.
Acropolis Rally: Problem for Ogier in third split. He's dropped 1m14.7s in one split and is now two minutes down on fastest man in the stage Evgeny Novikov. Puncture?
IndyCar - Detroit: Qualifying's going to be a crapshoot if things continue like this. Hinchcliffe walled it at the exit of Turn 1, although he doesn't seem to have done too much damage to the car.
Mads Ostberg

Mads Ostberg

Acropolis Rally: Mads Ostberg drops 2m22.4 in the first three miles of SS1. Suspected puncture. Latvala also steady in opening split, but the Finn's pace is improving as this 30-miler unfolds. Hirvonen quickest at the moment, taking 42 seconds out of first on the road Khalid Al-Qassimi. All priority drivers in the stage.
IndyCar - Detroit: ... but they're not going to get one. Scott Dixon has stopped on the track.
IndyCar - Detroit: Back underway. There are only 43 minutes of the session left and no-one has done more than four laps yet, so it's a safe bet that everyone would appreciate a spell free of spins and ducks.
IndyCar - Detroit: Wildlife on track! Less than a minute after the restart, we have yellows. The reason: a mother duck and her four ducklings are on the racing line at T11. All cars avoided them, and comedy now abounds as track workers chase them all over the place.
IndyCar - Detroit: Second stoppage of the day as Ryan Briscoe's Panther career begins with a spin and stall at T11.
DTM - Spielberg: Currently top of the Scirocco times is Kelvin van der Linde. Sound familiar? He should do. Dad Shaun and Grandad Hennie were both multiple South African racing champions while uncle Etienne won the 1998 Formula Opel Euro Series (although we remember him best for his race wins in Formula Renault UK in '97).
IndyCar - Detroit: We're back underway. Meanwhile, Sarah Fisher Hartman says that Newgarden's car suffered a fuel pressure problem.
IndyCar - Detroit: Lots of speculation about how the drivers will handle the physical demands of two full-length races in one weekend, but AUTOSPORT will be fine - the media centre includes a 'relaxation zone', complete with free massages. You don't get that in Formula 1.
Sebastien Ogier

Sebastien Ogier

Acropolis Rally: Greece's WRC round is about to get underway in earnest, starting with the monster 47-kilometre Kineta stage, which VW described as a "sledgehammer start".

Sebastien Ogier was fastest in qualifying this morning.
IndyCar - Detroit: With this weekend being a double-header, this 75 minute session is the only opportunity that the drivers will get to practice before qualifying later today.
IndyCar - Detroit:This has to be some sort of record. I was just about to report that the track is green for practice, but after less than a minute we're already under reds because Josef Newgarden has stopped on the straight. He doesn't appear to have hit anything.
Auto GP - Silverstone - qualifying results: 1 Karthikeyan; 2 Giovesi; 3 Ghirelli; 4 Kiss; 5 Roda; 6 Sato; 7 van Buuren; 8 de Jong; 9 Visoiu; 10 Snegirev.
DTM: Spielberg: The VW Scirocco R-Cup cars are currently on track for practice. In the 'celebrity' cars this weekend are Christian Danner, Klaus Niedzwiedz, Hans-Joachim Stuck and his son Johannes.
FR3.5 - Spa: It's interesting to see Nico Muller topping free practice here. After his Monaco victory he declared that his Draco team's early-season progress could only be judged this weekend on a "real" track. For the record, the second Draco car of Andre Negrao was 10th today.
Auto GP - Silverstone: Narain Karthikeyan had taken provisional pole from Kevin Giovesi two minutes before the stoppage.

Karthikeyan is P1 on 1m46.286s; Giovesi is second on 1m46.345s and the stranded car of Vittorio Ghirelli is third. Pal Kiss is fourth and Virtuosi UK's Andrea Roda holds provisional fifth place.

There are now green flags and three minutes remaining.
Silverstone - Auto GP: The second red flag of the afternoon has been caused by Tamas Pal Kiss hitting trouble at Turn 10.
Marco Andretti

Marco Andretti

IndyCar - Detroit: Marco Andretti hasn't won a race yet this year, but top seven finishes at every round so far put him a narrow 11 points clear of Long Beach winner Takuma Sato.

No one from Penske or Ganassi has won a race yet this year, as Andretti, Foyt and KV share the glory.

IndyCar standings after five of 19 rounds:

1 Marco Andretti 168
2 Takuma Sato 157
3 Helio Castroneves 152
4 Ryan Hunter-Reay 138
5 James Hinchcliffe 128

Full season statistics on FORIX

There are some significant entry changes for Detroit, with Panther ditching JR Hildebrand for Ryan Briscoe, the sister Panther DRR team and driver Oriol Servia dropping out of the series, and 2011 Long Beach victor Mike Conway returning to take the ex-Ana Beatriz seat alongside Justin Wilson at Dale Coyne Racing.
Tony Kanaan

Tony Kanaan

IndyCar - Detroit: The Detroit weekend follows hot on the heels of the series' showpiece Indianapolis 500, which was won by Tony Kanaan.

Retro interview - Kanaan's rags to riches tale
FR3.5 - Spa: Second practice: 1 Muller; 2 Magnussen; 3 da Costa; 4 Vandoorne; 5 Stevens; 6 Sorensen; 7 Webb; 8 Foresti; 9 Sainz; 10 Negrao.
IndyCar - Detroit: IndyCar practice in Detroit begins shortly.

This weekend is the first of the series' double-header events, with full-length races on both Saturday and Sunday.

There is just one practice session on Friday, ahead of the usual knockout qualifying format for race one.

A half-hour qualifying session for race two, with the field split into two groups, runs on Saturday morning.
FR3.5 - Spa: With three minutes left on the clock Monaco winner Nico Muller goes fastest.

DTM - Spielberg: A bit of football banter. Down at Audi, Miguel Molina's rear wing is sporting a Bayern Munich badge ahead of the German Cup final. Mercedes, meanwhile, has decked out Pascal Wehrlein's C-coupe in the colours of opponent Stuttgart (which, of course, is where Mercedes HQ is situated).
Auto GP - Silverstone: The session has resumed with 18 minutes left to run.
