Gutierrez ends up seventh, just ahead of Sauber team-mate Hulkenberg, with Ricciardo ninth and Bottas rounds out the top 10 for Williams.
It's a good session for Force India with Sutil in third spot, Perez fourth, Rosberg fifth and Vettel in sixth position.
Fernando Alonso is quickest in first practice at Spa with a best lap of 1m55.198s in damp and tricky conditions, 0.026s clear of di Resta.
The session has ended. Drivers already on a timed lap may complete it.
Alonso is informed that several of the cars that came out on slicks have now pitted for inters and is advised to come in himself.
88 min: Van der Garde is back in the pits, but Alonso, Hulkenberg and Chilton are out.
87 min: Van der Garde has a wobble at Eau Rouge and leaves the track, but gathers up his moment without a spin.
87 min: Gutierrez, Massa and van der Garde are all back on track as the rain simply blows away.
85 min: Vergne elected to pit at the end of the lap. Bottas and Maldonado are out there for Williams with just a few minutes remaining.
84 min: Sutil also heads out to check the conditions in his Force India. The German is third, behind Alonso and di Resta.
83 min: The Frenchman is out there once again on dry tyres. He is 13th in the classification, 1.886s shy of Alonso's leading pace.
82 min: Vergne breaks the silence and heads out for a run in the Toro Rosso.
82 min: As for the rain, it has eased off and we expect only a few drops between now and the end of the session.
81 min: Grosjean, without anybody really noticing, has racked up 15 laps in this session. Only Gutierrez (17) has completed more.
80 min: Track is now empty following Grosjean's decision to pit.
77 min: Raikkonen abandons his latest lap due to the weather while Grosjean has a bit of a moment on entry to Eau Rouge on his dry tyres.
76 min: He went on to note that braking stability seemed to be okay. Ricciardo is ninth in the classification, 1.572s off the leading pace.
75 min: Ricciardo notes that it was becoming very tricky to try and keep any grip in the front tyres on his latest run.
74 min: The track is pretty empty right now as the rain falls lightly. The two McLarens and the two Lotus machines are the only ones on track.
74 min: Gutierrez managed a great lap before pitting. He now lies seventh, one place ahead of Hulkenberg.
73 min: Raikkonen is out on hard slicks, but his opening flying lap keeps him 21st in the standings.
73 min: Only four drivers on the circuit now, with the rest reacting to the onset of this latest pulse that has moved in.
72 min: Rain now coming down much more steadily in the pits.
71 min: Vettel is sixth in the Red Bull, 0.438s down on Alonso's time, with Gutierrez seventh and Hulkenberg eighth for Sauber.

71 min: The rain is falling a little more heavily at the far end of the circuit.
70 min: The Spaniard heads the list by just 0.026s at the moment from di Resta in second, Sutil third, Perez fourth and Rosberg fifth.
70 min: A little surprising to see Chilton ahead of Bianchi, although the Frenchman is looking good for a personal best this time around.

68 min: Chaos down at the final chicane with Gutierrez trundling slowly in the braking zone and Hamilton at full speed having to take avoiding action.

68 min: Both McLarens pit, Perez having just gone very wide at Pouhon. One of the Saubers goes off at the Bus Stop at the same time.
67 min: The Saubers of Hulkenberg and Gutierrez look a very respectable sixth and 11th for now.

66 min: Vettel improves his time. The German is up to sixth with a lap of 1m56.326s.
65 min: Only Lotus drivers Raikkonen and Grosjean have not been out on slicks.
