Villa takes another sprint race win

Javier Villa enforced his reputation as the king of the reverse grid GP2 race by winning Sunday's round 13 at the Hungaroring

The young Spaniard took full advantage when leader Adrian Zaugg was clattered into at Turn 2 by Roldan Rodriguez on lap 10, allowing Villa to nip past. Yesterday's winner Adam Carroll chased him to the flag, but he was unable to find an opportunity to get past.

Rodriguez recovered to finish third, ahead of Lucas di Grassi, who now closes to within one point of series leader Timo Glock.

Glock was hounding di Grassi for fourth when his car suddenly went straight on at Turn 11, the indicator of a mechanical failure, which put him out for good a lap later.

Borja Garcia finished fifth, ahead of Glock's teammate Andi Zuber. The latter should have finished higher, but spun while chasing di Grassi at Turn 11.

Giorgio Pantano finished seventh, ahead of a charging Mike Conway, who rose from last on the grid to eighth.

Zaugg, who had led for the opening 10 laps, was attacked again at Turn 2 later by Kazuki Nakajima, which resulted enough damage to put them both out.

The final point went to Sebastien Buemi, who managed a last-gasp fastest lap to snatch the honour away from Nicolas Lapierre.
