Rosberg Ecstatic with First Pole
Q: Your first pole - how does it feel?
Nico Rosberg: It feels great! It wasn't an ideal qualifying - I could have done much better - but it was just that first set [of tyres] that worked out quite all right. I'm very happy with pole, and we have a good car, so I'm looking forward to tomorrow's race.
Q: You're on pole so you have any options you want for strategy - what do you want for tomorrow?
Rosberg: I'm looking for a win actually, when I think about it! It's not easy to get a good start in these cars, so that's going to be something important for tomorrow - to get a good start. That's about it - try and get a good start and see where we are, and see how it goes. Race pace has never really been a problem this year - we've always been among the quickest - so it should be good, for sure.
Q: Your car looked really good today, too.
Rosberg: Yeah - we had some problems this morning and the car wasn't good at all, but now it felt really nice.
Q: Oddly enough, in 1985 here your dad was on pole ahead of Nelson Piquet.
Rosberg: The gap was a bit bigger then, though - it was like eight tenths, I think.
Q: Unfortunately your dad didn't finish, while Nelson's dad finished fourth.
Rosberg: Oh - that does not sound good!
Q: Hopefully you'll go a lot better than him.
Rosberg: Yeah - I certainly hope so!
