Premat hit with penalty

Alexandre Premat has been hit with a 10-place grid penalty for the next GP2 outing in Hungary, following his clash with Hiroki Yoshimoto in Hockenheim

The pair collided as they disputed ninth place in the sprint race this morning. Premat locked up under braking and ran wide, forcing Yoshimoto to follow him on to the run off.

As the pair rejoined the track, Premat squeezed the BCN driver and there was slight contact and both cars spun into the gravel.

Yoshimoto ran over to berate the Frenchman - and received an official reprimand for his choice of sigh language!

"I just told him that I thought he was crazy," said the Japanese.

Premat said: "I just came back onto the track and I knew he was behind me and then there was contact. It's a really big shame because I think I could have been top six today."

Premat won last year's sprint race at the Hungaroring despite starting the feature race from the last row, after both ART cars were thrown out of qualifying.
