Piquet fastest at Barcelona
Nelson Piquet Jr was fastest overall in GP2 testing at Barcelona on Tuesday
The Brazilian dominated the morning session, lapping a full 0.8 seconds quicker than second-placed Jose Maria Lopez.
iSport's Ernesto Viso improved to pip Piquet by 0.1 seconds in the afternoon, but Piquet's early lap stood as the best of the day on combined times.
To make the test even better for Piquet Sports, their second driver Xandi Negrao continued to show promising form by going third fastest. After a difficult European debut season in 2005, Negrao has made great progress during the winter.
Although most drivers got through the day without major drama, Tristan Gommendy damaged his car in the morning, and Giancarlo Fisichella's protege Luca Filippi had incidents in both sessions.
