Luiz Razia joins Arden International for GP2 campaign
Luiz Razia has joined Arden International's GP2 line-up for the coming season
The Brazilian returns to the team with which he took his first steps in GP2 during the 2008-09 Asia Series, which yielded a race victory for the partnership at the Sakhir season finale.
"I want to thank all the team for their trust in me and I will do my best to make sure we achieve the success that we all want," said Razia, who finished 12th in the 2011 standings with Team AirAsia.
"I'm very pleased to accept the invite to try and give them the results they deserve. I have won races already with Arden in the past so there is no need to adapt myself to the team."
Arden sporting director Julian Rouse added that the former F3000 championship-winning squad had targeted getting an experienced driver into its line-up, having not finished in the top five in the teams' championship since 2006.
"Having missed an experienced driver in recent seasons I'm extremely happy that we have signed Luiz," said Rouse.
"His technical understanding of the car and the tyres is extremely impressive and this will help to move the programme forward quickly. I have every confidence that together we can be at the front straight away."
Razia joins GP3 graduate Simon Trummer in Arden's line-up for this year.
