Filippi dominates Paul Ricard test
Luca Filippi dominated the first day of testing at the Paul Ricard circuit, where the GP2 series returned to action on Tuesday
The Italian, driving for the Durango team, topped the times both in the morning and afternoon sessions, finishing with a fastest lap of 1:13.630.
He was followed by Andreas Zuber in the iSport car and Argentine Jose Maria Lopez, who returned to the BCN Competicion squad.
Andy Soucek was the quickest of the drivers making their debut at the wheel of a GP2 car, the Spaniard finishing in eighth position with the Super Nova car.
Soucek, who was scheduled to test with the ART team, only ran in the afternoon as the GP2 champions withdrew from the test following the death of engineer Steeve Marcel last night.
Testing continues tomorrow.
