DPR to give GP2 test to Brits

Ben Hanley and Oliver Jarvis will get a taste of a GP2 car with DPR at Paul Ricard next week

The British pair will each spend a day with the team during the four-day test, as several other drivers will also test with DPR at the French circuit.

Both drivers have been in contention for the title in other categories this year, with Hanley racing in World Series by Renault, and Jarvis in Japanese Formula 3.

Team boss David Price said: "We're pleased to be giving two British youngsters the chance to drive a GP2 car and I'm sure both of them will put in strong performances.

"Olly and Ben are both experienced drivers who have had considerable success in their careers so far.

"I believe they deserve the chance to step up a level and sample the handling and power of the GP2 car."

The team will also call on the experience of Andy Soucek, Adrian Zaugg, Luca Filippi, and Karun Chandhok in a bid to prepare themselves for the GP2 Asia Series.

"We have two objectives in this final test of 2007, and preparing for the new Asian series is one focus for us," added Price.

"We're pleased to have Andy with us to work on the car development ahead of this, and we're also evaluating a number of drivers for this series and for next season."
