ART boss confident for decider

ART boss Frederic Vasseur believes Lucas di Grassi stands an excellent chance of taking the team's third consecutive GP2 title

The squad have won every championship in the series' short history. But whereas 2005 and 2006 drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton had periods of dominance, ART have regularly been outpaced by iSport this year.

Di Grassi has taken just one win to iSport driver Glock's four victories, but has been more consistent.

At Spa last weekend di Grassi closed to within two points of Glock with just the Valencia finale remaining, after the German stalled on the grid in race one and then missed the second race completely following a collision with Ricardo Risatti on the way to the grid.

Di Grassi finished third in both races, and Vasseur is now confident he can beat Glock in the deciding meeting.

"Lucas has everything he needs to help the team secure a third title in succession in the GP2 series in a fortnight's time at Valencia," said Vasseur.

"Our performance level is excellent, especially in qualifying. We'll have to get the best out of the car in qualifying and at the start once again - as it won't be easy to overtake in Valencia."
