Q & A with Sebastian Vettel
Conducted and provided by Carlin Motorsport's press office.
Q. Has competing in an F1 race changed you perspective on World Series by Renault?
Sebastian Vettel: No not at all. I still want to fight for the title. Unfortunately we haven't been in the car for a long time due to a long gap between races, but I'm looking forward to getting back in the car this weekend in Budapest.
I haven't been to the Hungaroring yet, but I think it's a good circuit with lots of corners, and I like a track which is interesting with lots of corners so I'm looking forward to it. I've spoken to my engineer, and I think we are ready for a good weekend.
Q. Having spent a whole race weekend in an F1 car, do you think you'll have any problems adapting back to your World Series car?
SV: I have more experience in the World Series rather than the F1 car so it won't be a problem. Once you know about a car, you can adapt back again quickly. It may take five laps or something, but I'm sure I will fine.
Q. You've enjoyed some good on-track battles with Alvaro Parente so far this season; do you see him as your main rival ahead of the race in Hungary? What are your expectations ahead of the weekend?
SV: I think Alvaro is pretty strong and very consistent and just eight points behind me. In the end it's very early in the season to be focusing on the championship; we will just be focusing on finishing both races as best we can.
We'll be aiming to win Saturday's race and get the maximum points from Sunday's race, as we always do.
Q. You became the youngest ever driver to score a point in F1. Do records like that mean anything to you?
SV: No, not really. In the end, I don't care how old I was on that day; it's about doing my best every time.
