Herck tops final day at Ricard
Michael Herck set the pace on the final day of World Series by Renault testing at Paul Ricard on Thursday
The 19-year-old led a Prema one-two with Miguel Molina in the afternoon session, although Daniil Move's best lap from the morning session was the second fastest overall.
"I'm happy with the days I've had here," said Herck. "Test sessions aren't races, but it's important to show what you're capable of. I feel like I've learnt more in three days of testing than in a whole season of racing."
The top times in the morning were extremely close, with three drivers covered by one hundredth of a second.
Edoardo Piscopo and Dani Clos were marginally faster than Molina's afternoon time as well, while Aleix Alcaraz set the sixth fastest time overall.
Draco Racing created some interest in the pitlane when they handed one of their cars over to Fabrice Walfisch, who raced for the team in Formula 3000 in 1999.
The 34-year-old only completed 23 laps through the entire day, but his best effort put him 11th in the afternoon session. Pos Driver Team Time Laps
