Free practice 2: Leinders closes in
Ricardo Zonta continued to lead the way in free practice for the Telefonica World Series at Jarama in Spain today (Friday), but KTR's Bas Leinders closed the gap in the second session
Leinders leapfrogged ahead of series leader Franck Montagny (Racing Engineering), but Zonta's Gabord-run car still enjoys a healthy advantage over the opposition.
Antonio Garcia was fourth quickest for Adrian Campos Motorsport, ahead of FIA F3000 champion Justin Wilson, who found a chunk of time in the second session in his Racing Engineering car. Narain Karthikeyan (RC Motorsport), Luciano Gomide (KTR) and Rafael Sarandeses led the chase.
Ireland's Damien Faulkner improved his pace, but only climbed one spot over this morning to 14th.
