Snet 2: Piquet again
The turnaround in British Formula 3 continued in Snetterton as once again Nelson Angelo Piquet won, and once again James Rossiter failed to finish after another poor start. The Brazilian's victory means that he increases his recently acquired championship lead
Piquet had to fight for victory this time, in one of the year's more entertaining races. Although Piquet got the lead at the start when poleman Lucas di Grassi had a shocking getaway, he was quickly overtaken by form man Adam Carroll.
But Carroll was under constant pressure from Piquet after that, with the Brazilian quicker in the corners but struggling to pass on the straights. But eventually Piquet got his chance as Carroll erred at Sear, taking back the lead at the end of the straight late in the race.
Rossiter stalled at the lights and ended up clashing with Will Davison and Marko Asmer. Di Grassi also scored no points after his tardy start, landing in the cornfield after overdoing it at Riches. All of that left Will Power and Danilo Dirani to take steady runs to third and fourth.
