Qualifying 2: Four-up for Courtney

James Courtney blew away the opposition to take pole position for race two at Donington Park tomorrow (Sunday) - his fourth in as many races

The Australian was over half a second quicker than his nearest rival - Carlin team-mate Michael Keohane - and he intends to use his advantage to take his first win of the season.

"I'm really looking forward to doing the same thing in the race and there's no reason why we shouldn't," he said. However, to do that he'll need to convert pole into the lead, something he failed to do at Brands Hatch. "I'm sure we'll have no problem here and wiill get off to a flyer - that's the plan."

Rob Austin was an encouraging third for Menu, ahead of Robbie Kerr who will start from fourth. After claiming a front row slot for race one it was a disappointing session for Bruce Jouanny, who failed to get a clear lap and will start ninth.

Performance of the day came from Scholarship ace Adam Carroll, who set the sixth best time in his year-old car.

Tom Sisley benefited from the change to Mugen power and will start 13th, while Carlin's Shinya Hosakawa had a nightmare session after the team forgot to replace his brake discs, and qualified way back in 21st spot.
