Qualifying 1: Another Courtney pole
James Courtney eased his way to his third pole position in as many races in qualifying for round three of the British F3 series at Donington Park today (Saturday)
The Australian set the quickest time just six minutes into the 20-minute session and maintained his position at the top thereafter. Brands Hatch winner Bruce Jouanny slotted into second with a late effort, but was over 0.2s behind the Jaguar test driver.
The Carlin drivers continued their strong form from testing with all four making the top 10. Michael Keohane took third, Shinya Hosakawa sixth and Alan van der Merwe seventh. The other Brands Hatch winner Robbie Kerr will start from ninth.
Italian Scholarship driver Diego Romanini brought out the yellow flags after an off at Copse. Sweeney Racing's Adam Carroll took the class pole, and was 10th quickest overall.
