Mygale team happy with first test
British Formula Three newcomers Ultimate Motorsport are pleased with their pre-season form after testing at Pembrey last week
The test at the Welsh circuit was a first opportunity for the team to see how their Mygale chassis compared to the rest of the field, and they were pleased with their progress.
Team boss Simon Armstrong said: "It was a successful test. We managed to put plenty of kilometres on the car and we were pleased by the way it performed."
Esteban Guerrieri and Maro Engel drove for the team in the official test, although Engel has been linked to a drive with his 2006 team Carlin Motorsport for this season.
The pair were unable to break into the top 10 on either day, but Armstrong was pleased with how the whole team performed in the test.
"The rain made it difficult to assess our true competitiveness," he said, "but we are confident we will run strongly this season.
"It was the first time all our team members had worked together at the track so it was quite a logistical test for us, and the whole team passed that with flying colours."
The team will hold their official launch on Wednesday at Silverstone.
