Manor target first Euro Series title
Manor Motorsport boss John Booth believes that the team are ready to take the F3 Euro Series title from ASM this year
The British squad joined the series in 2005 with Lewis Hamilton, and while they have taken race wins in the past two years, they have been unable to mount a championship challenge.
Manor have enjoyed success in the Macau Grand Prix in the past, and this team will expand to four cars in the Euro Series, the same number as ASM.
"The F3 Euro Series continues to be the strongest and most prestigious F3 championship in the world," said Booth, "and we're aiming to break the ASM stranglehold."
ASM have won the title for the past three years, with Jamie Green, Lewis Hamilton, and Paul di Resta.
However, Booth feels that his line-up of Yelmer Buurman, James Jakes, Franck Mailluex, and Cyndie Allemann will have a strong year.
"It's going to be a very big year for us with our expansion to four cars but we're hopeful of a strong season," Booth added.
"We have proven we can regularly win races at this level so the next step is to win the title, and that's what we'll be aiming to do this season."
