Kane Takes Popular Home Win
Steven Kane's luck finally turned at Mondello Park today, when the Northern Irishman took a popular home victory in front of a patriotic crowd
Lola driver Kane dominated the race after a fine start and was never threatened by Ryan Lewis and Charlie Kimball, who battled over second position throughout.
New Champion Alvaro Parente, driving in his last formula Three race for the season, tangled with Danilo Dirani at the tight first corner, effectively putting both out of contention.
Fortec Motorsport duo James Walker and Mike Conway, who scored a 1-2 for the team at the Nurburgring last month, battled over fourth. But again there was never much chance of a change in the order on the twisty track.
