Alvaro Parente's experience showed at Mondello Park today, as a great start from second on the grid earned the Portuguese driver yet another British F3 win

"It's all about the start here," said the new Champion, who has notched up a few victories thanks to good getaways. "Even if the guys behind were quicker it would have been hard for them to get past. And that wasn't the case - we were fast."

Pole man and local favourite Steven Kane (Promatecme) dropped to second after the start, and then an unforced mistake later in the race dropped him to third behind Fortec Motorsport's Mike Conway.

American Charlie Kimball was fourth, ahead of Danilo Dirani, Dan Clarke and Christian Bakkerud. Kane will get another chance to win later today, when he will also start from pole.
