Hynes on the pace at Silverstone
Marc Hynes left the rest of the Formula 3 field standing in testing at Silverstone yesterday
The triple race-winner was more than half a second quicker than his nearest rival, Jenson Button, while in third was Narain Karthikeyan, the winner of the last round at Brands Hatch.
The drivers were practising for the next event in the championship, at Silverstone as one of the Grand Prix support races in two weeks.
.
'We've made real progress with the car,' said Hynes. 'We are now confident that we are quick on a hot track, and I think we still have something in hand.
'The Grand Prix meeting is without doubt the one to win, and we now know that we will be quick there.'
