Di Resta: title success yet to sink in

F3 Euro Series champion Paul di Resta doesn't expect his success to sink in until the end of the year

The Scot has a busy few weeks coming up, which he expects will include competing in the Macau Formula Three Grand Prix.

Autosport.com also understands that the Mercedes-backed driver will get a DTM test, but for now di Resta is remaining tight-lipped about his plans.

"I've been rushed off of my feet since the race finished at Hockenheim," he told autosport.com. "I don't think this will have time to settle in for another four or five weeks.

"I would love to drive a DTM car, but I don't know what anyone has planned for me yet," he added. "It's a great series and the cars are fantastic."

The Macau saga has run all year for di Resta, who has been unsure of whether he would have the funds to do the race or not.

His ASM team have entered him in the race though, and after winning the Euro Series title his chances of going to the end of season showpiece look stronger.

"Macau is now 99.9 per cent on," he said. "It would be nice to complete the hat trick after winning the Masters at Zandvoort and the Euro Series title."

One disadvantage for di Resta is that he didn't compete in the race last year. Most drivers believe that experience counts for a lot around the daunting street circuit.

"If I go there I'll be going to win, and I can normally learn circuits pretty quickly," said di Resta. "In some ways it will be nice to be an underdog though."
