Conway wins controlled race
Mike Conway controlled a straightforward first British F3 race at Brands Hatch this morning
The Double R Racing driver led from pole position to the finish, and was not unduly troubled by second-placed man Maro Engel (Carlin Motorsport).
Although the German did chip away at Conway's lead later in the race, finishing less than a second behind, the championship leader had the situation in hand.
Yelmer Buurman (Fortec Motorsport) finished a lonely third, Oliver Jarvis (Carlin) a lonely fourth and Stephen Jelley (Double R) a lonely fifth.
The race was indeed rather processional, with large gaps splitting the three behind Engel.
But James Jakes (Hitech Racing) did well to hold off a gaggle of cars. He had jumped ahead of Bruno Senna (Double R) after a couple of laps and the Brazilian could do nothing to get past the Yorkshireman.
