Conway completes double win

It was double win for Mike Conway at Snetterton today, but victory in the second race did not come easy for the Englishman - he only just fended off Carlin Motorsport driver Oliver Jarvis

Jarvis started the race from pole but could only hold Conway back until the Double R man drove past him down the Revett Straight on the first lap. But far from fading away, Jarvis kept the crowd interested throughout.

A mid-race safety car allowed Jarvis a particularly good run down the straight, and he got completely alongside Conway through the left-hand part of the Esses.

But Conway put his car in just the right place for the second part of the corner and slotted back into a lead that lasted to the end.

Maro Engel made amends for taking out his Carlin team-mate Christian Bakkerud this morning, by finishing a solid third. Some way behind Conway and Jarvis, he survived a close battle with Double R's Stephen Jelley.

Conway has now stretched out a big championship lead following Bruno Senna's huge accident this morning. Jarvis has now moved past Senna into second position.
