Carlin to enter F3 Euro Series
British F3 stalwarts Carlin Motorsport have announced that they are to enter the F3 Euro Series next year
The Chessington-based team, who have won three British F3 titles since 1999, will join the European-based series for the first time next year after deciding to further expand their racing operations.
Team boss Trevor Carlin said: "In the past few years F3 Euro Series has proved to be an immensely competitive championship and a great training ground for tomorrow's stars.
"The team's move into the European championship complements our current race programmes of British F3 and World Series, and will further strengthen the team's history of running the F1 drivers of the future.
"The Carlin team have enjoyed a great history in British F3, and this move into Europe will in no way weaken this.
"We have the resources and knowledge to be able to compete in both the European and British championships simultaneously and aim to be competitive from the first race.
"We are currently in discussions with several drivers and hope to announce our 2008 Euro Series line-up in the near future."
