Buemi wins season finale
Sebastien Buemi made up for the disappointment of losing out in the Formula Three Euro Series title race by winning the final round at Hockenheim
The Swiss Mucke Motorsport driver took the lead three laps from the end to beat long-time leader Edoardo Mortara (Signature).
Mortara had passed early leader and pole man Dani Clos (Signature) at the hairpin on the opening lap. Clos was then passed by Buemi on lap three at the hairpin, with newly-crowned champion Romain Grosjean (ASM) doing likewise a lap later.
Buemi took his time to pass Mortara, but was decisive when he made his move, and romped away to a 1.4-second victory. Mortara held off Grosjean until the end, with Yelmer Buurman (Manor) taking fourth, ahead of Clos.
Franck Mailleux (Manor) took the final point in sixth, but was under investigation by the stewards for punting off Yann Clairay (Signature).
Yesterday's winner Nico Hulkenberg was a subdued seventh.
