Bianchi eager to clinch title at Dijon

Jules Bianchi insists he will not change his approach this weekend at Dijon, despite being close to sealing the Formula 3 Euro Series title

The ART driver has dominated the campaign so far, winning six out of eight Saturday races, and taking a remarkable reversed-grid win from eighth to complete a double at Zandvoort in the summer.

He heads into this weekend with a 23-point lead over Mucke's Christian Vietoris and providing he has a 22-point advantage after the first race of this weekend, he will be crowned champion.

"Of course I can see the championship now, but I try not to think about it," said the 20-year-old. "If you focus on it too much, you will just make mistakes.

"I'm not counting points, I just want to keep winning races. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it's bad, but I don't want to change my mind.

"I hope I can win the title on home soil, but I will just concentrate on each race and we will see what happens at the end."

Bianchi shone on his GP2 test debut with ART this week at Jerez, setting the third-fastest time on Tuesday.

He revealed at the start of the season that his manager Nicolas Todt had promised him a drive in the series if he won the F3 title this year, and he is widely expected to line up with the French squad in the F1-feeder category in 2010.
