Asmer takes another win in race 1
Marko Asmer (Hitech Racing) took his second straight British Formula Three Championship win with a lights-to-flag success at Donington Park today
The Estonian survived an early safety car period to keep Stephen Jelley's (Double R Racing) advances well under control throughout the race.
Greg Mansell held third spot all the way, ensuring a podium for the Fortec Motorsport newcomer in just his third F3 start.
His Fortec team-mate Sebastian Hohenthal resisted Double R's Jonathan Kennard to claim fourth as the processional top five provided little entertainment.
But the scrap behind them was titanic, with Esteban Guerrieri driving the Ultimate Motorsport Mygale to an inspired sixth place.
After a superb start, Guerrieri overtook Carlin Motorsport drivers Niall Breen and Maro Engel in the early laps, and then kept Engel at bay with some excellent defensive driving. Breen later retired mid-way through the race after being taken out by Atte Mustonen (Double R Racing).
