Asmer extends lead with race 2 win
Marko Asmer has pulled out a 34-point lead at the front of the British F3 Championship after another win in the second race at Donington Park today
A rain shower on the warm-up lap led to carnage behind Asmer, and after he made a good start he was able to look in his mirrors and find he had a lead of a couple of seconds after just half a lap.
From there on, it was a simple task to control the rest of the race.
Carlin Motorsport driver Niall Breen was one of the few drivers to stay out of trouble, slotting into a second place he was never to lose.
Teammate Mario Moraes held third until a clash at the chicane with Jonathan Kennard allowed the Double R Racing driver into third.
T-Sport's Sergio Perez broke his National Class duck, reversing the race 1 result by beating Master Motorsport's Michael Meadows into second.
