Sam MacLeod led home a Fortec Motorsport 1-2-3 with a lights-to-flag victory in the first British Formula 3 race at Snetterton.
MacLeod had to work hard to shake off the close attentions of his team-mate Martin Cao, but broke the challenge at mid-distance, leaving Cao to finish two seconds behind in a seventh consecutive second place.
The start was clean and uneventful, with poleman MacLeod leading Cao and Matt Rao through Riches in single file as the pack settled into formation early.
Rao went on to endure a lonely race, finishing well ahead of Double R Racing driver Camren Kaminsky, who ran fourth throughout.
Double R's other driver Andy Chang spun out of fifth place on the first lap, recovering to challenge Peter Li for fifth in the closing laps. Ultimately, though, the Chinese Carlin Motorsport driver prevailed.
