Conway joins Super Nova for 2007
British Formula Three champion Mike Conway will join Super Nova in GP2 this year
Conway, who capped his successful 2006 campaign with victory in the Macau Grand Prix, confirmed his deal on stage at the Autosport International show. His teammate will be Italian Luca Filippi.
"Super Nova is one of the big names and I am very happy to be with David (Sears, team boss) and I am looking forward to a good year," said Conway.
"I won the British (F3) championship in style this year and then took victory in Macau, which was a fantastic end to a fantastic season."
Speaking about his prospects for the year ahead, he said: "There are ex-F1 drivers coming back into GP2 and it is going to be tough. There are people with a lot of experience.
"I don't know all the circuits and it is going to be difficult - just like any championship. But you need the good competition."
Filippi said: "I am very happy and very proud to drive for Super Nova. This is the best choice for me. The team has a very good technical department and it will be a very interesting season.
"We had two days of testing together and we found a good feeling and found out that there was the possibility to make a good job together."
Team boss Sears said he had full faith in the job that Conway and Filippi would do in 2007.
"Both of these drivers are capable of winning the championship. These guys are going to show exactly what we are made of."
