Williams to pull off an Italian job at Imola?

In the three previous Grands Prix, punters have enjoyed long odds on Williams-BMW duo Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya, however, after some brilliant, but ultimately unlucky performances from the team in the opening three races, it seems the bookies have finally cottoned on.

For this weekend's San Marino Grand Prix, British bookmakers Ladbrokes have slashed the prices on the duo - Ralf's odds to take pole position have fallen from 16-1 in Brazil to 8-1 at Imola. Similarly, Juan Pablo was 33-1 to win in Interlagos, but after his ballsy showing in Brazil, the Colombian is 10-1 to win in San Marino.

Michael Schumacher is once again the favourite to take pole on Saturday (4-7) and to win the race itself on Sunday (8-11). However, if you want to look elsewhere, the McLarens might be a good investment. Mika Hakkinen desperately needs to kick-start his season and if you think Imola will be the place to do it, the Finn is 11-2 for pole and 5-1 to win. If you are feeling a little braver, you might want to look at the dual forecast bets. A Coulthard-Montoya one-two looks good at 20-1.
