Williams in 'good shape' for Monaco
Ralf Schumacher is expecting a change of fortune at Monaco this season after a very productive test at Nogaro
The Williams-BMW driver has often been quick around the legendary street course but has crashed out of all three Formula One races he has contested there. However, after topping the times at Nogaro he reckons he will be well placed next weekend.
"I feel good about my prospects," he said. "The team has done a good job. I am pleased with the new aerodynamic parts on the FW22 and I am sure it will help performance at Monaco."
His team-mate Jenson Button, who was second quickest at a test attended by only Williams and BAR, agreed that Williams was in "good shape" as it headed for the most prestigious race of the season.
However Williams Technical Director Patrick Head was slightly more cautious.
"We have covered good mileage with both cars," he said. "We are pleased with our progress but will only be able to tell with next week's free practice at the circuit."
