Renault is bucking the usual motorsport trend of predicting big things for year two of a major project. With the help of one of the bosses in Cyril Abiteboul, we find out why that's the case

Having been dubbed "Lotus", the operation was on its knees, with bankruptcy said to be a single court case away, and subsequent Companies House filings showing the team to have lost £60m in 2015.
