Webber wants Euro points

Jaguar and its lead driver Mark Webber are intent on adding to their points tallies in this weekend's European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. They've been hard at work seeking both pace and reliability

Webber commented: "I scored some points here last year, so I have a good feeling about it and hope that we can have a repeat performance. The most important thing is to be prepared for the weekend and that is what we are busy doing at the moment. I have been into the factory this week to speak with the team and help them work through the data from Monaco."

Jaguar Racing managing director David Pitchforth concedes that improved reliability is an aim for his team. "We know the R5 has the potential to deliver points," he said. "We now need to channel our energy into our reliability and ensure that when cars finish races they finish in the points."

The team's rookie driver Christian Klien knows the Nurburgring well and he is optimistic that he can use that knowledge to improve his form. "The car is well set-up," said the Austrian, "and I will be looking to qualify higher so that I am in the right place to fight for points."
