Webber discounts early return for Schuey
Michael Schumacher's return from injury has hit a set-back, according to his manager, Willi Webber
Speaking on Wednesday Webber said the healing process to the double break on the Ferrari driver's right leg 'did not go forward as expected' but he would not be more specific.
'Doctors are saying very clearly Michael will not sit in the cockpit during the next weeks.'
But he denied reports that Schumacher would retire entirely - although it is far from clear when he will be ready for action.
There are numerous rumours circulating concerning the former world champion's return, with the September's Italian Grand Prix at Monza one date or the penultimate race at Malaysia a month after that or that he may not even make it for the final race in Japan.
The cynics suggest it is in Schumacher's interest to sow confusion and hope that McLaren get complacent in the hope that his title chances stay alive.
'Michael will come back - but only when he is 100 per cent fit,' said
Webber.
'It could be 12-16 weeks now. It does not make sense to say when his
comeback will be. That will depend on what the doctors say.'
