Webber delighted with top three result

Jaguar's Mark Webber says the lap that earned him the third fastest time in first qualifying for the US Grand Prix at Indianapolis was "very pleasing"

The Australian believes the result is all the more impressive as his attempted low fuel runs were compromised in the earlier free practice session due to a heavy rain shower.

"The car felt very good and while it was a little greasy in places, the overall lap was clean, tidy and very pleasing in the end," said Webber. "We have been consistently quick over one lap this season but the bigger picture for us is Sunday, and that's what we're concentrating on."

Team-mate Justin Wilson had another trying session, however, and could only manage 18th position due to receiving the worst of the weather conditions.

"At some point my luck has to change, but obviously not today," said Wilson. "My overall feeling going into qualifying was good, albeit until the rain gods arrived. There was little I could do out there today, apart from setting a clean lap. All I can do is hope for a fair crack of the whip, unlike today."
