Vettel says pressure is on Brawn duo

The Red Bull driver is 16 points behind Button and two behind Barrichello with just two races remaining, and the German is aware that only victory will suffice for him.

Vettel, however, arrives as hot favourite to win Sunday's race after dominating the Japanese Grand Prix two weeks ago.

"The only thing I can do is win, the pressure is the two in front of me," Vettel told a news conference at Interlagos. "You don't have to be genius to know that I have to win the races and those two mess it up.

"Both races, the last two races, Singapore and Japan, obviously Singapore should have been a bit better, it is in the past now. I hope those three points are not missing in the end. Japan was fantastic for us, the car was great and I am looking forward to the next two races."

Vettel, who needs to win the race with Button in sixth place to take the title battle down to the wire, is optimistic the Brazilian circuit will suit his car.

But he admitted the KERS-equipped teams will have a big advantage this weekend.

"This circuit I think should suit us," he added. "It still has a lot of corners where you need the downforce and it seems it is our strength, so we are looking forward to it, but we don't know what to expect.

"For this weekend the teams with KERS will be very strong, there is steep uphill and you need the acceleration.

"I think it is a good thing not to have the situation where they are racing each other. It is a shame for Mark that he is not in the race for the title, but we are a very strong team, we are working hand in hand and if the situation should come up then he is the last one to deny any help."

The Red Bull driver said his engine situation was still a concern, especially if it doesn't rain on Friday.

"The last couple of races were good for on Friday often it was wet, with less running for everyone so we saved mileage without paying too much of a price. Interlagos has always been a circuit that is improving quite a lot. On top of that we don't know if it is wet or dry, we will see how much, and how many cars are running tomorrow."
