TWR Not Affected by Arrows's Situation

The TWR company, whose chairman is Arrows team boss Tom Walkinshaw, have issued a statement, clarifying that the current situation and any possible future outcome for Arrows will have no affect on them.

The TWR company, whose chairman is Arrows team boss Tom Walkinshaw, have issued a statement, clarifying that the current situation and any possible future outcome for Arrows will have no affect on them.

TWR, a company created in 1975 and that specialises in the design, engineering and manufacture of road and racing cars as well as road and racing engines, have been linked in some media reports to Arrows' financial problems, which could force the Leafield-based outfit to fill for insolvency unless they reach a deal with potential investors.

However, TWR have denied they will be affected by the team's problems, saying that they are a company run independently from the Grand Prix squad.

"Although TWR and Arrows are both headquartered at the Leafield Technical Centre in Oxfordshire, UK, and have the same Chairman, Tom Walkinshaw, they are in fact two separate companies," Richard Hayes, TWR's director of communications told Atlas F1.

"Because TWR is independent of Arrows, the F1 team's current situation, or any future developments, will have no bearing on TWR's business."

Arrows will miss this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix while Walkinshaw continues crucial talks with possible buyers that could secure their future.
