Trulli says sixth is Jordan's maximum for now

Jarno Trulli claims Jordan performed to its maximum to claim sixth place on the grid for Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix

The Italian driver headed team mate Heinz-Harald Frentzen and fellow Honda runners Jacques Villeneuve and Olivier Panis to claim a place on the third row at the Circuit de Catalunya.

"I expected to be sixth," said Trulli, who is currently seventh in the drivers' championship. "It would have been very difficult to expect any more than that. McLaren, Ferrari and Williams were very strong and we have never been very strong at this track either.

"Sixth position is quite satisfying because qualifying was very tough," he added. "As you can see from the result, the gap between the drivers and the cars was very close."

And Trulli reported the new driver gizmos on his Honda-powered car were working well.

"We feel that our electronics are quite reliable," he noted. "We didn't have a lot of time to develop it so we are not using it fully, probably at about 60 percent. Either way, it is going to be a tough race tomorrow."
