Trulli rues troubled first day of work
Jarno Trulli was left ruing a difficult first day of work in the opening two practice sessions in Monte Carlo
The Toyota driver had to settle for the 17th fastest time of the day after being unable to complete as much running as he hoped.
In the morning Trulli made contact with the wall and damaged his car's suspension, and in the afternoon he had a problem with his TF108's floor.
"That was a difficult day for me," admitted the Italian. "It's difficult to make predictions here because anything can happen.
"We are expecting to see a wet track during the weekend which will make things especially tough. So there are a lot of variables that make this a unique place to race but the atmosphere is always special."
Timo Glock had a more productive day on his way to the the 12th quickest time, although the German admitted there is still more work to do.
"So far I am happy with the car but we still need to improve a few things to make it a bit quicker," he said.
"I still need a bit more experience to get the most out of the car but it was a good start. Overall it was a good free practice - no damage and we made it through the whole programme. Now I hope to push hard for a better result at the weekend."
