Jarno Trulli believes Jordan have this season failed to build on their recent successes and confessed that he is disappointed with the way his two seasons at the Silverstone-based team have developed.
Italian Trulli, who will leave Jordan for Benetton at the end of the season, accepted that he must take some of the responsibility for the poor season this year.
"The last two seasons have been a bit disappointing for both of us," said Trulli. "We've all made mistakes and I hope we both learn from them. In some ways it was positive because we proved more than once that we could be good, especially in qualifying, but unfortunately in the race we always struggled big time.
"That was our biggest problem. When I came to the team they were third in the Championship, so we expected to grow up and catch the two best teams, but now it looks like the team is struggling a little bit but I am leaving and maybe the team will grow up again, you never know."
Trulli has scored just nine points this season, while the Jordan team are sixth in the Constructors' Championship and level with Honda-powered rivals British American Racing.
