Todt Hails Ferrari's 'Easiest One-Two' Victory

Sunday's one-two victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix was probably the easiest Ferrari have taken, according to the team's sporting director Jean Todt.

Sunday's one-two victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix was probably the easiest Ferrari have taken, according to the team's sporting director Jean Todt.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello led teammate Michael Schumacher to give Ferrari their fifth one-two of the year, dominating the race from start to finish after starting from the first row of the grid.

The victory also meant that Ferrari scored their fourth consecutive Constructors' Championship.

"In all fairness, watching from the pit wall, I would say it was probably the easiest one-two we have had because we were much quicker from the start," said Todt. "It was important to have two cars first after the first corner, which happened. It was not easy for Michael but finally, he managed it.

"And then we knew we had to save the tyres at the beginning and we thought that at the beginning that Ralf might be on a one stop. We thought it was probably not the case, but it could have been, and we were really pulling away quite easily."

Ferrari have scored 11 victories in 13 races, and need 42 points in the four remaining races to beat the record for most number of points in a single season, held by McLaren with the 199 points scored in 1988.
