Sutil warns against over-optimism

The German driver put on a superb showing at the Monte Carlo race, taking full advantage of the conditions to climb up to fourth place with just seven minutes of the race remaining.

His day, however, ended in heartbreak when Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen crashed into him and forced him into retirement.

Sutil admitted his performance has been a boost both for him and his team, but the Force India driver believes they should not get carried away, aware that the conditions are unlikely to favour them so much in most races.

"For sure it will help. But we do have to keep our feet on the ground - and we should not dream," Sutil told the official Formula One website.

"Chances like this do not come so often. And if I'm honest, it will be very difficult for us in the next races.

"We are the only team that does not have a new car. We still drive with the '07 car. So we will push and do whatever is possible. But it will be difficult this year to have consistently good results."

Despite his caution, Sutil is still hopeful he will be able to enjoy strong races at circuits like Spa or Hockenheim.

"Well, with wet conditions for sure the chances are much better. There will come some tracks like Spa, Valencia, Singapore, and my home GP in Hockenheim, where I do hope to have good results."
