Super Aguri set for management reshuffle

The Leafield-based team are to be taken over by automotive consultancy firm the Magma Group, with a deal set to go through before the end of this month.

Although the agreement has helped secure the future of the outfit, following months of financial difficulties, sources have suggested that the completion of the contract will then likely result in an overhaul of the team structure.

Magma chief Martin Leach addressed the Super Aguri staff at Albert Park on Wednesday night, telling them his vision for the future.

And although Leach gave no confirmation in that talk about any changes he plans to make, there are particular doubts about Audetto's future at the team.

The F1 stalwart is a notable absentee from the season opening race in Melbourne, having been present in Japan for the press conference last week that confirmed Magma's future involvement.

He travelled to Australia after that event but has since returned home - a significant development as he has not missed any of Super Aguri's races up until now.

Any leadership changes, which could also involve Leach becoming team principal and Suzuki being moved to a new role, are expected to be followed by further big revisions to the team early in the year.

It is understood that before the Monaco Grand Prix, Magma is aiming to rebrand the team's image - and the car's colour scheme. With support from its financial backers, the Dubai government, there is also the possibility of the team changing their name.
